Memorial Dates of Russia: Composition of the Organizing Committee for Celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Bunin in 2020 approved

In accordance with the Executive Order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin of July 30, 2018 the 150th anniversary of the birth of the renowned writer and Nobel laureate Ivan Bunin (1870-1953) will be celebrated in Russia in 2020.

The Organizing Committee for Celebrations has been set up.

Ivan Bunin was the classical writer of Russian literature and its first Nobel laureate (1933), master of philosophical poetry, short stories, a translator, a three-time laureate of the Pushkin Prize, and since 1909 he had been the honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
