History and Culture: Exhibition dedicated to scholar, traveler and writer Iakinf Bichurin to kick off in the National Library of Russia

On February 6, 2019 the National Library of Russia, New Building (St. Petersburg) is presenting a new exhibition “Father Iakinf: Restless Monk”.

In the spotlight of the exhibition is Iakinf Bichurin - archimandrite of the Russian Orthodox Church, orientalist and traveler, Chinese language expert, the first Russian sinologist, who became famous across Europe. The exhibition will be open until March 10.
