Internet and History: Virtual exhibition dedicated to 75th anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege launched on the website of the Plekhanov House

The Plekhanov House (The National Library of Russia, St. Petersburg) invites you to visit the virtual exhibition “The Epoch in Archival Documents: Diary Entries of Stepan Volk, Guards Senior Lieutenant of the 1st Belorussian Front, 1941-1945”.

The exhibition marks the 75th anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege and the 74th anniversary of Victory of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The exhibition showcases archival materials, which belonged to Stepan Volk (1921-1993) - philosopher, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor, writer, platoon commander of the 279th artillery regiment of the 47th army, the 1st Belorussian Front, senior lieutenant. They entered the collections of the Plekhanov House in 1996.
