Memory of Russia: Exhibition “Pushkin’s Birth Anniversaries in 1899-1949” staged in Pskov Region

The Pushkin Museum-Reserve (Pskov Region) has mounted the exhibition “Pushkin’s Birth Anniversaries in 1899-1949” from the collections of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve, the National Pushkin Museum and the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The tradition of official celebration of Alexander Pushkin’s birth anniversaries was established in 1899, when the centenary of the poet’s birth was marked.

The exhibition “Pushkin’s Birth Anniversaries in 1899-1949” is timed to coincide with Alexander Pushkin’s 220th anniversary of birth, the Pushkin Day in Russia, and the Russian Language Day, and will run until July 14, 2019.
