1 August 2019

On August 1, 2019 the Tsarskoye Selo Museum Reserve (St. Petersburg) is presenting the exhibition “Priceless Gifts — Witnesses to the Past”. The exhibition is mounted ahead of the 5th birthday of Russia in the Great War Museum in the Martial Chamber.

Russia in the Great War Museum opened its doors on August 4, 2014 in the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum Reserve. This was one of the major events commemorating the centenary of the beginning of World War I. The first museum in modern Russia devoted to this tragic period in history was housed in the building of the Martial Chamber, which was conceived by Emperor Nicholas II as a pantheon of military glory.
