History and Culture: Unique coins from the collection of the Grand Duke George of Russia on display in Moscow

The Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky took part in the opening of an exhibition titled “The August Numismatist. Grand Duke George of Russia. Fate and Legacy”, which took place in the International Numismatic Club Museum. The exhibition presents unique coins from the collection of the Grand Duke George of Russia (Georgy Mikhailovich).

The exhibition features not only the exhibits from the collections of the International Numismatic Club Museum, but also loaned items from the State Hermitage Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the State Historical Museum, the State Russian Museum, the Radishchev Saratov State Art Museum and other cultural institutions. Many of the exhibits have never been on display before.
