Museums of Russia: Exhibition “Antique Collections of Empress Maria Feodorovna. Marking the 260th Anniversary of the Birth” to kick off in the Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve

On October 10, 2019 the Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve is mounting the exhibition “Antique Collections of Empress Maria Feodorovna. Marking the 260th Anniversary of the Birth”.

Almost the entire collection of antiquities of Empress Maria Feodorovna has been put on display for the first time. It was the first collection in Russia, which along with marble statues and busts comprised household items from the ancient times and painted vases used for various purposes.

The exhibition showcases items from the collections of the Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve, ceramic vases from the State Hermitage Museum and two paintings from the State Russian Museum.
