World History and Culture: Exhibition “Traditions of Pilgrimage in World Religions” staged in the Museum of the History of Religion in St. Petersburg

The State Museum of the History of Religion (St. Petersburg) presents an exhibition dedicated to the traditions of pilgrimage in world religions. Pilgrimages are journeys to holy places and relics that are sacred in these religions, for religious reasons. Such travellers are called pilgrims.

Many exhibits were restored ahead of this exposition; some of them have never been displayed before.
