Society and Culture: The National Library of Russia presents a unique collection of photographs marking 180th anniversary of invention of photography

The National Library of Russia in St. Petersburg (Prints Department) presents the exhibition “Around the World: European Cityscape Photographs, 1850s - 1900s”. 

The collections of the National Library of Russia contain cityscape images of Vienna, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Berlin and many other cities. They have become important visual materials for historians and art critics, architects and restorers, and for the general public interested in European culture.

The exhibition will be open until December 27.
