World History and Culture: “Golden Heritage of Kazakhstan” exhibition staged at the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg

The exhibition “Golden Heritage of Kazakhstan” will be open in the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg until December 3, 2019.

The exhibition features items from the collections of the Museum of Local History of Atyrau Region and is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the discovery of the second ‘Golden Man’ – a Sarmatian leader dressed in gold that was discovered in Atyrau Region, the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1999. The exhibition acquaints residents and visitors to the northern capital city with the historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, Sarmatian treasures and unique archaeological finds.
