Society and Culture: The Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow hosts the Kovalyov Scientific and Practical Conference focused on problems of restoration, conservation and storage

On December 18 – 19, 2019 the Tretyakov Gallery (Engineering Building) in Moscow is hosting the Kovalyov Scientific and Practical Conference, which is focused on the problems of restoration, conservation and storage.

The conference is named after Alexey Kovalyov (1931–1997), one of the most prominent restorers of the Tretyakov Gallery, who had been in charge of the museum’s restoration workshops over a long time. 

As part of the conference famous restorers from the United Kingdom, Holland, Denmark, and Italy will participate in the roundtable discussion due on December 19.
