Memorable dates of Russia: International scientific conference "Chekhov: texts and contexts", marking the 160th anniversary of the writer, to be launched

From January 24 to 28, 2020, the Chekhov Museum-Reserve “Melikhovo” (Moscow Region) hosts the anniversary international scientific conference “Chekhov: Texts and Contexts”, that is marking the 160th anniversary of the writer (celebrated on 29 January).

The conference is attended by more than seventy scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, the USA, France, Spain, Greece.

The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss Chekhov’s texts: the relevance for modern reader and theater.
