Internet and Society: A virtual tour of Gorky Park launched on the “Discover Moscow” Internet portal

The “Discover Moscow” Internet portal invites the users to have a virtual tour of the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure and visit its sights. The new route was developed as part of a joint project of the Moscow Department of Information Technology and the Department of Culture, which arranges the virtual tours through city parks. It was launched last August in the Hermitage Garden, the first information poster with a QR code was placed at the garden entrance. The user can scan a special tag with the smartphone’s camera, and get access the “Discover Moscow” website with a tour description.
The tour is available both on the Gorky Park Internet portal and in the mobile application of the same name.
