World Culture: "George Morland - English Romantic of the XVIII Century" exhibition presented in Severomorsk

"George Morland - English Romantic of the XVIII Century" exhibition of engraving of the XVIII century from the V. G. Belikov's collection (Moscow) was launched in the Severomorsk Museum and Exhibition Complex.

The exhibition spotlights an interesting page in the English artistic life of the XVIII century - the works of the outstanding English artist George Morland. The artist was born in 1763 in an impoverished noble family of artists. His works full of the poetry of simple peasant life, a quiet measured rural way of life earned him fame as the founder of English romanticism.

The exhibition will run until March 12, 2020.
