History and Culture: Permanent exhibition of ancient Russian icon painting of the XIV - early XVIII centuries presented in the State Hermitage Museum

The State Hermitage Museum (Saint-Petersburg) opened a permanent exhibition of ancient Russian icon painting of the XIV - early XVIII centuries.

It contains more than eighty icons. It presents true masterpieces as well as items, which feature knowledge of ancient Russian icon painting.
