Marking the 75th Anniversary of the Great Victory: "Saint-Petersburg reads Tyorkin" TV project launched

"Sankt-Peterburg" TV channel launched a project marking the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. It is entitled "Saint-Petersburg reads Tyorkin".

These days marks the 80th anniversary of the creation of the literary character Vasili Tyorkin by Aleksandr Tvardovsky.

Schoolchildren, veterans, professional actors and Saint-Petersburg residents will read fragments of the poem by Aleksandr Tvardovsky on video. These videos will be broadcasted later on regional TV by May 9.

Locations for the shooting will be the iconic and recognizable places of Saint-Petersburg - the Singer House (House of the Book), the House of Cinema, streets, and embankments.
