Memory of Russia: "Purple Mist of Russian Landscapes..." exhibition to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Alexander Pushkin State Museum-Reserve "Mikhaylovskoye" during the Great Patriotic War

Alexander Pushkin State Museum-Reserve "Mikhaylovskoye" arranged several projects to mark the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the anniversary of the liberation of the village of Pushkinskie Gory as well as the Museum-Reserve from the Nazi invaders on July 12, 1944.

The first is a large exhibition "Purple Mist of Russian Landscapes...". It presents the exhibits from the museum and private collections. The exposition highlights the liberation and preservation of Svyatogorye and Pushkin places, sacred for Russians, as well as restoration of hundred exhibits. It features photographs and awards, paintings and graphics, artworks, medals and books. An exhibition is showcased in the Scientific and Cultural Center of the Museum (Pushkinskie Gory).

Also, Mikhaylovskoye provides a virtual exhibition project "Victory! Sweet Hour for Soul! ". It was arranged together with the Velikie Luki Local Lore Museum. The Pushkin Museum-Reserve official website releases the digital exposition that features portraits and awards of Pskov residents - Heroes of the Soviet Union. A separate section of the exhibition spotlights the Pskov partisan and underground movements. A large collection of photographs and documents is devoted to the post-war restoration and veterans - employees of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve. The virtual exposition also features samples of weapons, uniforms and personal belongings of Soviet soldiers.
