
Society and Culture: Alexander Pushkin State Museum-Reserve presented "The Image of Pushkin" exhibition
The Alexander Pushkin State Museum-Reserve (Pskov Region) launched "The Image of Pushkin" exhibition featuring the artworks of Engel Kharievich Nasibulin, a remarkable artist and old friend of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve.
E. Nasibulin illustrated about 600 books by different authors in almost all world languages. The master's works are in the collections of all Russian Pushkin museums, in the Anna Akhmatova Museum, in private collections in Russia and abroad. In 1998-1999, he actively participated in the creation of the Pushkin Museum in New York, was the chief artist of the XL All-Russian Pushkin Poetry Festival in Mikhailovskoye.
The "Author's Collections" section of the Museum-Reserve website provides a virtual exhibition of works by Engel Nasibulin, marking the 80th master’s anniversary.
Engel Nasibulin died on June 3, 2020, in Saint-Petersburg at the age of 87. This exhibition in commemoration of the artist presents his works of different years from the art collection of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve. It features images of Pushkin’s landscapes, illustrations for the poet's oeuvre and portraits, historical plots, etc.
