Information Technology and Culture: Novgorod Region to launch six virtual concert halls on the International Music Day

Novgorod Region has been participating in the federal project "Digital Culture" of the national project "Culture" since 2019. Within the first project year, Veliky Novgorod, Pestov and Kholm opened virtual concert halls in three cultural institutions. This year, six more cities joined the virtual concert network - Borovichi, Staraya Russa, Valdai, Soltsy, Malaya Vishera, Okulovka. The opening ceremony will take place on International Music Day, October 1. Residents of 8 cities in the region will have an opportunity to watch the broadcast from the A. S. Arensky Novgorod Regional Philharmonic. It will be the Perpetuum mobile concert of the "Tavrichesky" Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad Region. The concert is a part of the X All-Russian Andrei Petrov Festival.

Also, the Inter-Settlement Socio-Cultural Association "Svetoch" from Chudovo won the contest of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the creation of virtual concert halls in 2021.

Novgorod Region is one of the most successful participants of the "Culture" national project for two years of its existence. It is the best in creating and equipping virtual concert halls.
