The exhibition "I Listen. I See. I'm Happy. Everything Is in Me...", which marks the 150th anniversary of the Russian writer Ivan Alekseevich Bunin, was launched in the New Building of the National Library of Russia (Saint-Petersburg).
Russian Book and Russian Magazines Departments, as well as the Central Reference Library, provided 100 publications that illustrate Bunin's life and career.
Alexander Kuzmich Baboreko is a famous researcher of the life and oeuvre of Ivan Bunin. An extensive collection of little-known and archival documents, letters, diaries and memoirs is the result of several decades of productive work. The exposition introduces the work of his whole life - a book "Bunin. Biography" in the series "Life of Prominent People". The publication features Bunin's letters to his close friends - writers Mark Aldanov and Nadezhda Teffi (Alexander Kuzmich received copies of these papers from the archives of Columbia University). The collector also got the letters of Vera Nikolaevna Muromtseva-Bunina to Maria Samoilovna Tsetlin from A. N. Pregel, the daughter of Maria Tsetlin.
All these diverse materials make up a whole collection, which allows catching the spirit of the past, and perfectly reveals features of the life and career of the great writer.
The exhibition will run until October 25.
