Information Technologies and Museums: Exposition of the Historical Museum in Verkhnyaya Pyshma digitized

17 December 2020

The new exposition of the Historical Museum in Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk Region) will include kiosks with specially designed information retrieval interfaces.

Now, all materials collected by the museum specialists about the history of Verkhnyaya Pyshma from 1917 to 2000 are practically digitized. The city history is loaded into three touch-sensitive terminals that soon will appear at the exhibition.

They will function as information and reference kiosks. At the same time, each terminal has unique content and design to show different periods from city history.

The product developer is PINA Company - a resident of the high-tech technopark of Sverdlovsk Region. All content on terminals is uploaded and edited in the personal account via the PINA cloud service. It is enough to download the content which is available without the Internet. Besides, one of the advantages of this technology is an opportunity to represent a large amount of content in small kiosks.

The interface of the "Survive and Win!" exposition, devoted to the history of the city during the Great Patriotic War, features a memorial book with veterans' names, photographs of front-line soldiers, audio memories of war participants, etc.
