The program of Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day includes various commemorative events devoted to the 184th poet's anniversary. The National Pushkin Museum presents an exhibition of jubilee medals from the museum's collection.
The exhibition will run until April 12, 2021, at the Gavrila Derzhavin Estate Museum (Saint-Petersburg). The collection of the National Pushkin Museum features medals of different kinds - commemorative, jubilee, with images of Pushkin sites, marking the historical events of the XVIII-XIX centuries, awards.
The exposition widely presents jubilee medals and tokens devoted to Alexander Pushkin.
The collection of the National Pushkin Museum contains more than 300 jubilee medals, tokens, plaques, coins with the poet's portraits and sites. These medals combine history, literature and art, and amaze the visitors with diversity and different materials.
