Science and Society: Government approved the Year of Science and Technology event program

The Year of Science and Technology event program is approved by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated March 13, 2021, No. 605-r.

More than 85 federal events will be held within The Year of Science and Technology in Russia. One of the key projects will be the launch of a new vaccine against coronavirus by the Chumakov Scientific Centre.

Much attention will be paid to the popularization of science and modern technology. So, in May, Russia starts the multimedia project "100 Questions to a Scientist". Everyone will have the opportunity to ask leading Russian scientists on the Yandex.Q platform. The most urgent questions and answers will be released on the Internet.

Besides, Russian cities will host open lectures by famous and young scientists throughout the year. They will talk about their projects in advanced medicine, space exploration, ecology, security, and artificial intelligence. The lectures will be available on the Internet - online broadcasts are provided for all speeches.

Also, the Year of Science and Technology provides an opportunity to attend an excursion to advanced laboratories and watch experiments. Scientists will show the work of high-tech equipment and talk about their research.
