Museums and Society: Project of the Ministry of Culture "Museum Routes of Russia" launched in Kaluga

A new project of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation "Museum Routes of Russia" was launched in Kaluga. It will attract new tourists to the country's little-known museums.

The project is a series of travelling presentations and expert and methodological events. Its aim is the development and promotion of domestic museums.

By the plan, 2021 will host a series of events in Saint-Petersburg, Pskov, Tula, Smolensk, Sevastopol, Saratov, Saransk, Krasnoyarsk and the Republic of Karelia.

Experts will discuss issues of preserving the Russian cultural and intangible historical heritage, systematizing and developing museum tourism, increasing the number of visitors to museums that are geographically and thematically involved in cultural and educational projects.
