Information Technology and Culture: Virtual project "Egyptian Culture Days in the Urals" presented as part of the Cross-Year of Humanitarian Cooperation of Egypt and Russia

The Cross-Year of Humanitarian Cooperation of Egypt and Russia started in May 2021. Marking this event, the Bureau of Culture of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Moscow and Onesime Claire Sverdlovsk Regional Local History Museum launched a virtual project "Days of Egyptian Culture in the Urals".

It aims to present the points of coincidence between the cultures of Egypt and the Urals. It also strives to introduce the Urals people to contemporary Egyptian art and improve their knowledge of Egyptian culture.

A specially developed virtual resource allows:

- examining in detail the collection of Egyptian artefacts of the Sverdlovsk Regional Local History Museum and learn its history;

- exploring an online tour of the exhibition "Discovering Ancient Egypt" at the Museum of History and Archeology of the Urals;

- learning about the collection of exhibits of the Bureau of Culture of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Moscow and much more about the activities of the Bureau;

- enjoying the mesmerizing pictures of Cairo and Coptic Egypt, visiting the halls of the Cairo Museum and the streets of the Egyptian capital, admiring the landscapes of the sea coast and touching everyday scenes;

- reviving the historical Golden Parade of the Pharaohs, which took place on April 3, 2021, in Moscow, and watching the documentary "Golden Parade. A View from Russia" with the participation of Ihab Ahmed Talaat Nasr, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Russian Federation and leading cultural figures of Russia;

- comprehending contemporary Egyptian art.
