Memorable Dates of Russia: Exhibition "The Great Weapons Designer. Fyodor Tokarev's 150th Anniversary" presented in Tula

The Tula State Museum of Weapons launched the exhibition "The Great Weapons Designer. Fyodor Tokarev's 150th Anniversary".

June 14, 2021, marks the 150th anniversary of Fyodor Tokarev, the outstanding Russian weapons designer. This prominent man spent the most active and fruitful period of his life in Tula, working for 20 years at the Tula Arms Plant and Central Design Bureau -14. Here he created most of his weapons, including the samples of the famous production - the Tokarev Model 1927 submachine gun, T-33 semi-automatic pistol, SVT-38, SVT-40 and AVT-40 self-loading rifles.

Marking the anniversary of Fyodor Tokarev, the Tula State Museum of Weapons launched the exhibition "The Great Weapons Designer. Fyodor Tokarev's 150th Anniversary". It features 88 items, including the private things of the outstanding designer and Fyodor Tokarev personal test samples of weapons. The collection of weapons by Fyodor Tokarev in the Tula State Museum of Weapons is one of the most representative in the world. It allows revealing all aspects of the design activities of this outstanding person. Fyodor Tokarev donated lots of exhibits to the museum. He had always been a friend of the Tula State Museum of Weapons and had an interest in its fate. Besides the above-mentioned items, the exhibition comprises dozens of photographs and documents representing the life of Fyodor Tokarev.

The exhibition will run until October 12, 2021.
