Information Technology and Culture: Exhibits of the new exposition, devoted to the 145th anniversary of Ivan Bilibin, available on the Artefact portal

16 August 2021

On August 16, 2021, the Grabar Art Conservation Centre (Moscow) will launch an exhibition project marking the 145th anniversary of Ivan Bilibin, the artist, illustrator and theatrical designer.

The exposition consists of several thematic sections. Along with the recognizable works in the "Bilibin" style - theatrical designs, book illustrations, portraits and landscapes - it will represent for the first time Ivan Bilibin's collection of the Russian folk costume, collected by him during ethnographic expeditions to the Russian North.

Twenty specialists of two conservation workshops of the Centre (Textile and Graphics) thoroughly restored over 40 exhibits from the collections of the Ivan Bilibin Museum in Ivangorod for several years.

Each exhibit has a description of the restoration process. Artefact, the program with AR elements, allows observing objects before restoration and examining details.

The exhibition will run until October 15, 2021.
