President of Russia: Vladimir Putin to hold a meeting of the State Council Presidium to discuss measures to improve the quality of general education in Russia

On August 25, 2021, a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council will be held via videoconference. On the eve of the new academic year, the State Council will discuss a package of measures and proposals to improve the quality of general education in the regions of the Russian Federation, including the training and advanced training of teachers, the development of a unified digital education environment and ensuring the safety of children in educational institutions, and the implementation of school renovation and equipment procurement programs.

Immediately ahead of the meeting of the State Council Presidium, the President will hold a separate meeting, also via videoconference, with the participation of teachers and university professors, students, applicants and schoolchildren.
