Internet and Regions of Russia: Children's tour of Red Square available on the Discover Moscow portal

The Discover Moscow portal provides a series of routes for children. The first one will be an audio tour of Red Square, which consists of six points. During the walk, the characters of children's encyclopedias conduct a game dialogue and tell the children and their parents about the sights of the main square of the country.

The Red Square audio guide is the first part of an interactive project, maximally adapted for a younger audience. It is voiced by the favourite children's characters, which makes studying history more engaging. The project includes three educational excursions. The next tours with the same heroes will take place at Staroye Izmailovo and the territory of VDNKh. The Discover Moscow portal provides more than 180 thematic routes in various districts of the capital. They are available both on the portal and in the mobile application.

The audio tour spotlights both the history of the Moscow centre and architectural monuments. During the play, children will learn the names of architectural elements and features of different styles. They will also trace the development of Moscow - from the first mention in the annals to the present day. The format of the audio tour is more lively and understandable for young Moscow residents. It easily allows them to be interested in history and architecture.

The special project and tours for children were created with the support of the Departments of Culture and Cultural Heritage, Mosrazvitie, VDNKh and the Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve.
