IT and culture: Gosfilmofond of Russia digitized over 2,000 films in 2021

The Gosfilmofond of Russia scanned over 2,000 films in 2021, reaching the set targets. In total, up to 2024, within the framework of the national project "Culture", it is planned to digitize 22.5 thousand film materials, Roman Chistyakov, Acting Director General of the Gosfilmfond said.

The Gosfilmofond also stepped up research and restoration activities. According to Svetlana Maksimchenko, Director of the Department of Cinematography and Digital Development of the Russian Ministry of Culture, in 2021, specialists restored 10 films, including in cooperation with other organizations.
