The first St. Petersburg Art Fair 1703 has started in the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. The three sections of the programme, Galleries, Collections, and Digital Art, are dedicated to modern art: paintings and photography, sculpture and installations, digital art objects and NFT-tokens. Lectures, discussions and art-meditations will take place within the educational programme of the Fair.

The Galleries section presents modern artists, whose works unites principles of historical references and homages to different art styles.

The Digital Art section, Art & Science centre of the ITMO University will showcase works of students and graduates of the master’s program of the same name. The projects about art, science and technology explore the limits of virtual space, experiment with traditional materials and transfer laboratory aesthetics to the exhibition area.

The central theme of the first 1703 is collecting. The Collections section features three special projects by Marina Gisich Gallery, KGallery and the Béton Visual Culture Centre.

Every day, lectures and discussions from the organizers and the Masters School take place within the 1703 programme. The key themes will be collecting, bioart and digital art. The programme also features art-meditations – active dialogues about art.
