Museums of Russia: The exhibition “The Museum and Anniversaries of 1812” presented in the Museum-Panorama “Battle of Borodino”

The exhibition “The Museum and Anniversaries of 1812” is presented in the Museum-Panorama “Battle of Borodino” (Moscow).

The exhibition allows its visitors to trace the history of celebrations of three anniversaries of the Patriotic War of 1812 in Moscow, which resulted in the establishment of the Museum-Panorama “Battle of Borodino”.

The exhibits include the first album-guide to the Borodino panorama, souvenir products and anniversary publications, issued in 1912. In the 1960s, the collection of the museum was entered by memorable medals, marking the 150th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812, original script of the movie “War and Peace” directed by S. F. Bondarchuk, sculptures and paintings by Soviet masters.

The exhibition will run until December 29, 2022.
