4 October 2022

Kuzbass has entered the All-Russian Travel Project Patterns of Russian Cities. The project brings together 13 subjects of the Russian Federation: Vologda, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kirov, Kostroma, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Yaroslavl Regions, Crimea, Udmurtian Republic, and Kuzbass.

“There are a lot of interesting cultural codes in Kuzbass – unique natural and historical places, national crafts, features that will flow into the All-Russian pattern with a bright thread. Primarily, the implementation of the project Patterns of Kuzbass will change the image of the region on the Russian travel market. We will speak about the region not only as a coal mining center, but as the capital of creative industries, since the region is the leader in this sphere right now”, – creator and head of the project Patterns of Russian Cities Elena Surguladze noted.

By working together with the travel industry, masters of decorative arts, folk crafts will get great opportunities for the propaganda of the truly Siberian crafts, development of workshops and implementation of production. For travel business, this direction creates an additional chance to organize principally new travel products: planners, author tours, meetings with craftspeople, master classes and interactive programs.

The preparations began in the middle of June. Seven months of work of the Creative Laboratories will result in the Forum of Creative Industries and Tourism “Patterns of Kuzbass” which will take place on November 9, 2022 in Kemerovo. There, projects of masters-craftspeople and the new cultural and historical tourist routes will be presented. They will popularize Kuzbass’ cultural codes and traditions and allow guests to see the region in a new light.
