President of Russia: Vladimir Putin took part in memorial events, marking the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad

On January 18, 2023, President of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in memorial events, marking the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad.

The head of the state visited the Military Historical Complex Nevsky Pyatachok in Leningrad Region, where he laid flowers at the monument Rubezhny Kamen. Then, at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery, the President took part in the ceremony of laying a wreath at the Motherland monument.

In addition, the meeting of Vladimir Putin with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and representatives of public patriotic associations was held in the State Memorial Museum of the Defence and Siege of Leningrad.
