Week of the Irish culture in St.-Petersburg

On June, 17th at 13.00 in the New building of the Russian National library under the scheme of a Week of the Irish culture in St.-Petersburg will take place opening of a book-illustrative exhibition «Ireland: island scientific and sacred». At exhibition rare publications of centuries from RNB stocks, telling about stories, culture, architecture, traditions of Ireland, its symbols and heraldry will be presented. Among valuable exhibits there is the Bible in the Irish language, published in London in a century, from a collection of the rare book section of the Russian national library. At exhibition opening in RNB will come in the Honorary consul of Ireland at St.-Petersburg A.P.Shashin, the director of the Irish cultural centre of St.Petersburg State University A. V.Mashinjan, delegates of Embassy of Ireland in the Russian Federation and Committee on external relations of St.-Petersburg.
