International events: The London Book Fair 2010

Participants of the Russian stand at the International London Book Fair, to be held on 19-21 April 2010, will familiarize themselves with a special business program, which is brought to facilitate the potential of the fair for projects’ promotion and experience interchange.

Among the program’s key points are:

- free of charge participation in the seminar on selling international publishing rights;

- meetings with editors, responsible for acquiring rights at the leading publishing houses of UK– these very meetings will be organized at the Russian stand;

- a special program of meetings and presentations focused on e-publishing with the participation of leading experts and companies in this area.

The business program aims to change a stereotype of the Russian stand as a mere representative one and transform it into the platform for business cooperation.

The program is being organized by the Academia Rossica foundation within the framework of the project “Russia – an honored guest at the London Book Fair 2010”. Russian publishers, willing to represent their projects at the Russian stand of LBF-2010 in April, are welcome to submit their applications.
