Libraries abroad: Manuscripts database created in Azerbaijan

The Institute of Manuscript of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (IMANAS) made a report on its scientific work in 2009. Institute of Manuscripts prepared an information database on more than 4000 manuscripts in Azerbaijani, English and Arabian languages. The institute added that the process of recording manuscripts and archive documents on digital disks had started a year before.

The institute has also started recording the personal archives since 2009. Azerbaijan’s prominent writer Yusif Vezir Chemenzeminli’s archive has completely been recorded on the disk.
