International events: “Digital Libraries: Shaping the Information Paradigm” conference in India

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are jointly organizing the International Conference on Digital Libraries (ICDL) 2010. ICDL 2010 is proposed to be organized during February 23-26, 2010 in New Delhi.

The theme of the three-day conference is “Digital Libraries: Shaping the Information Paradigm” and the focus is on the strengths and potential of digital libraries and their role in education, cultural, social and economic development. ICDL 2010 is the third conference in TERI's “International Conference on Digital Libraries” series.

The conference will include tutorials, in which leading researchers and practitioners will present the tutorials to familiarize participants with the new and innovative tools and techniques development, workshops with international experts, and exhibitors.

The speakers in the conference would come from the Berlin School of Library and Information Science, the University of Vienna, and the University of British Columbia.
