Russian language: Conference on problems of teaching Russian language in poly-ethnic region kicked off in Dagestan
The Dagestan Institute of Improvement of Professional Skills of Teachers jointly with the Karabudahkent gymnasium held a Republican Conference “Problems of teaching Russian language and literature in the poly-ethnic region. Urgent issues regarding preparation for the National Final School Exam (EGE)”.
The conference brought together policy makers of the Republic’s educational sector, who are supervising Russian language and literature teaching, and teachers of schools.
Participants discussed a wide range of problems, among them the cohesion between the primary and secondary levels of school within the Russian language teaching, problems of Russian language and cross-cultural communication in the poly-ethnic region. They highlighted questions of pre-profile preparation and profile education of philology, introduction of new educational technologies as means of development of monologue speech at the lessons of Russian language and literature, training pupils for taking the National Final School Exam. Multimedia projects, developed and implemented by the teachers – innovators were also released at the theoretical and practical conference.
Conference participants took into consideration relevant recommendations and suggestions on the part of Russian language teachers, aimed at improvement of efficiency of Russian language and literature lessons.
