“Publishers – aggregating agents - libraries” Interactive seminar

On September 3rd, 2010 Internet conference "Publishers – aggregating agents - libraries will take place: from confrontation before communications". It will be broadcasted on http://www.aselibrary.ru/.

The action was organized by: Federal agency on Press and Mass Communications of Russia, information-analytical magazine "University book", the Russian Association of Electronic Libraries.

Discussion of the issues related to innovative technologies in libraries at the present stage becomes the basic theme of a seminar. A discussion about tendencies of development of electronic library systems in Russia, creation and functioning of electronic libraries, volume and market potential, pricing for services in providing of a digital content, legislative initiatives is planned.

It is supposed to consider existing models of selection and distribution of the content, system of protection of the information, new formats and services, foreign experience.

The following speakers will deliver their lectures at the seminar: Loginov A.V., plenipotentiary of the Government of the Russian Federation in State Duma of the Russian Federation, vice-president of the Public Committee for support of the Russian libraries; Vislyj A.I., General Director of the Russian State Library, etc.
