History of Russia: History of the first wave of emigration discussed in Moscow

Today on October 22 2010 the House of the Russian Abroad which bears the name of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Moscow will host the session of the round table called “The year of 1920: Russia leaves Russia”, which brings into focus 90th anniversary of the mass emigration of Russian army and refugees from Russia.

Participants of the round table are going to turn the light on issues related to characteristic features of different “streams” of the first wave of emigration, the history of military, political and scientific Abroad, reflection of the “Russian emigration” in literature and social consciousness etc.

The round table session has brought together researchers of the Russian Abroad: M.Yu. Sorokina, I.V. Domnin, K.M. Aleksandrov, A.A. Petrov, and A.S. Kruchinin.
