9 October 2010

The Embassy of Russia has donated books from “Lomonosov library” series, which contains valuable materials on the Russian history and culture, to the libraries of Kirgizia.

About 500 books have already been distributed among libraries within the framework of the humanitarian project, dedicated to 300th birthday anniversary of Mikhail V. Lomonosov.

All who are keen on the history of the Russian North will take an interest in books “National culture of Pomorye (Russian North)” and “Customs and beliefs of peasants in Arkhangelsk province”, “Heroes in the Russian North” and “Saints of the Russian North”. Patrons will also familiarize themselves with works of contemporary researchers – historians, folklorists and ethnographers of Russia.
