Regions of Russia: Sixth Creative meeting of young librarians of Khakassia

The N.G. Domozhakov National Library is conducting a systematic work to improve professional skills of young librarians. This week at the main republic’s library was launched the Sixth annual meeting of young librarians. This meeting attracted over 50 young librarians from public libraries of Khakassia.

The program of the creative meeting featured a presentation of projects submitted to the Republic’s contest “Innovations of the youth at libraries”. The contest has been organized by the N.G. Domozhakov National Library and carried out with a support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Khakassia.

13 projects from two republic’s libraries and nine municipal centralized library systems were submitted to the contest. Works of participants turn the spotlight on new approaches in work with disabled children, promotion of books and reading, organization of library space, as well as library design, and foundation of a virtual museum.

It should be mentioned that all the projects presented at the creative meeting are now being implemented at libraries where authors work.
