On December 22 2010 the Russian World Studios (RWS), the State Film Collection (OGK) and the Reliance Media Works Ltd. (India) signed an agreement on joint restoration and digitization of the Soviet classic films and cartoons.
Among the first projects carried out by the partners is Stanislav Rostotsky’s 1968 “We’ll live until Monday” and legendary cartoons of Fyodor Khitruk “Winnie the Pooh”.
“Russian film and TV industry is moving towards digital technologies, while the State Film Collection keeps thousands of films being the heritage of the Russian film making industry, which need restoration, digitization and HD conversion. We are glad to cooperate with such a partner like Reliance Media Works, which has at its disposal the equipment, software and technologies enabling restoration of the Russian film heritage”, stressed Yuri Sapronov, the Head of RWS.
