IT and Law: Lawsuit can be filed online

On January 24 2011 all the courts were notified of the launch of “My arbiter” service: my.arbitr.ru website enables to file a lawsuit to any arbitration court. To do this, you need to fill in electronic forms featuring data on a claimant and a defendant, and even attach necessary properly certified documents. As for now the file size is limited to 10 MB.

The service allows you to initiate the legal process, after that you need to submit physical documents: the court will process the application within a couple of days and will either accept it or send a rejection letter.

The service will help to file a lawsuit in a court of another region or in case the court’s decision was received too late and there is almost no time left for an appeal. A lawsuit may be filed twenty-four seven: you can send an incomplete set of documents, then the lawsuit won’t be given the go-ahead, however the period of limitation will not be missed.
