History of Russia: Boris Yeltsin’s 80th birthday anniversary celebrations
On January 19 2011 was held a press–conference which unveiled a program of functions timed to the 80th birthday anniversary of the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin.
Anniversary celebration will be launched on January 26 in Moscow with a photo exhibition “Boris Yeltsin and his time” at the Moscow House of Photography, while the next day Kazan will host an exhibition called “Boris Yeltsin – President of the new Russia”. On January 31 in Yekaterinburg will kick off a presentation of the book “The Man of Changes. The Study of Political Biography of B.N. Yeltsin”.
On February 1 at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow flowers will be laid to the tomb of Boris N. Yeltsin, while in Yekaterinburg will be unveiled a monument to the first Russian President to the design of sculptor Georgy Frangulyan.
On February 2 in Moscow will be launched an International conference “B.N. Yeltsin and the new Russia. 80th birthday anniversary of the first President of Russia”, which will become a key event of the whole program. Above all, at the end of the conference the book “Correspondence of B.N. Yeltsin with heads of foreign states and governments” will be presented to guests.
