Publishing and Bookselling: Paris Book Fair kicks off in France

20 March 2011

The capital city of France has launched a prestigious Paris Book Fair (Salon du livre de Paris).

The international event has been hosted by Paris for 31st time. The focus this time is on Nordic literature. In this connection a delegation out of four dozens of writers from the Northern Europe has arrived in Paris. A large exhibition has been unveiled by Argentina – Buenos Aires has been designated by UNESCO as the World Book Capital 2011.

The Paris Book Fair will run up to March 21. Its organizers hope that this year’s event would attract not less participants than it did in 2010 – when the fair brought together 190 000 book lovers.
