Internet resources: The complete works of Theophan the Recluse have emerged in Internet

The Publisher Board of the Russian Orthodox Church has launched the website of the Complete works of prelate Theophan the Recluse.

The website is intended for a wide circle of readers who wish to learn about the works of St. Theophan the Recluse. It provides access to electronic publications of his texts in the restored version of the author, in the original (pre-revolutionary) punctuation and spelling - with the principles of spelling, followed by the prelate while they were published.

The site is a platform to form a basis of historical and literary, and theological commentary on the creations of the prelate, which will accompany each volume of the complete collection of works. Comment is created by members of the Scientific and Editorial Board along with invited experts in the framework of the relevant section of the site, which operates as a closed community.

Theophanes the Recluse was an outstanding Russian scholar, ascetic and teacher of Christian life, church statesman and spiritual writer.
