World culture: ‘Rabindranath Tagore – a world citizen’ Book Illustrative Exposition in St. Petersburg

April 28, 2011 in the new building of the National Library of Russia (St. Petersburg) is opening a unique book exhibition featuring works by the great Indian poet and educator “Rabindranath Tagore - a citizen of the world”.

The exhibition presents lifetime editions of the writer from the Library’s holdings. Books, albums, photographs and other exhibits will tell about the life and work of the Indian poet. Also displayed are photographs from the collection of Roerich funds and from private collections, which are exhibited in Russia for the first time.

Exhibition is organized by the National Library of Russia, the Consulate General of India in St. Petersburg, ICR, the N. K. Roerich Museum-Estate in Izvar.
