Memory of Russia: Military and Historical Festival “Feat of Arms” in Samara region

August 13, 2011 in the village of Beryozki, Volga district, Samara Region takes place a Military History Festival "Feat of Arms' covering the World Military History of 13^th – 15^th centuries.

Spectators can see walking competitions "one-on-one" and "five-on-five", an exemplary equestrian program "Riders of War" (traditional martial exercises of the 13^th century done at full gallop), contests of costumes of medieval Russia, Western Europe and the Gold Horde, the military fun: javelin, logs, archery, etc. During the festival run a fair, children's playground and various workshops.

"The place chosen for the festival is for a reason, it is literally steeped in history. Once the Sarmatians erected here their mounds, and now archaeologists find in them parts of the harness, iron knives and glass beads, "- said the organizer of the festival, head of the club "Legend" Alexei Romanov.
